Narrow width of a glueball decay into two mesons

The widths of a glueball decay to two pions or kaons are analyzed in the pQCD framework. Our results show that the glueball ground state has small branching ratio for two-meson decay mode, which is around 10−2. The predicted values are consistent with the data of ξ → ππ,KK if ξ particle is a 2++ glueball. Applicability of pQCD to the glueball decay and comparison with χcJ decay are also discussed. We use a modified version of the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio model which implements the QCD trace anomaly to calculate the two photons decay width of the glueball (f0(1500)) and of the two scalar mesons (f0(1370), fJ=0(1710)) to which it is mixed. We investigate the effect of this mixing over the coupling constants of the f0 states to the quarks.
